Kathleen (Katie) Wubker joins ABL after serving as general counsel for a mid-sized Jacksonville-based manufacturer and wholesaler. As general counsel, Katie gained significant experience in a diverse array of matters, includinglabor and employment, corporate development and formality, patent and trademark registration and protection, contract review and negotiation, and franchise matters. Katie oversawseveral corporate restructurings and managed all aspects of the firm’s litigation, including the selection, retention, and oversight of outside counsel. Katie’s experience as general counsel gives her a unique perspective and insight into the needs of her client’stoday, which she brings to her practice at ABL. Prior to that time, Katie practiced as a commercial litigator in a top-tier national law firm, where she represented local, national, and international corporations and other business entities in all aspects of commercial contract and tort litigation. Katie developed specific experience in intellectual property and insurance coverage matters, patent infringement litigation, and trademark matters pending both in federal court and in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Katie has clerked for judges on both the federal district court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Supreme Court of Florida.
In her community, Katie has previously served as a member of the Women’s Board for Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and as secretary for the board of directors for her children’s school. In her free time, Katie enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family.
