Natalie has spent her 17-year legal career in various roles across the child-welfare system. Starting out with the Guardian ad Litem Program of Florida, Natalie advocated in dependency court for children in the foster care system. She then served as an attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families for 11 years before becoming General Counsel for Family Support Services in Duval, Nassau, Pasco and Pinellas Counties. Natalie has extensive experience in dependency, family law, and criminal litigation matters, along with general legal advocacy for non-profit organizations.
Natalie received her undergraduate degree in law and sociology from American University in Washington, DC, and her Juris Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Natalie and her husband were therapeutic foster parents for 13 years and are the proud parents of five children, three of which were adopted from Florida’s foster care system. In addition to spending time with her family, Natalie enjoys traveling and experiencing diverse cuisine.
