Appellate Counsel

We offer appellate counsel to individuals, politicians, businesses, and lawyers across a range of areas, including complex commercial disputes, personal injury, insurance coverage, trust litigation, statutory challenges, government enforcement, and policy matters.

Estate & Trust Litigation

We represent clients in litigated disputes over estate and trust assets or distributions. Estate litigation involves wills and matters arising from the death of an individual in relation to their assets. Often, issues arise as to which person has the authority to act on behalf of the estate of a loved one. Claims of creditors can be subject to disputes with the estate. Beneficiaries can have problems with how assets are accounted for, apportioned and distributed.

Trust litigation involves the administration and distribution of a trust. Usually trusts are created with conditions on the distribution of the assets in the account and are managed by a third-party trustee. Disputes often arise as to the powers given to the trustee; how a trustee uses discretion in making distributions to beneficiaries and how a beneficiary can obtain access to trust funds.

Through our Of-Counsel relationship with Dempsey Law PLLC and its principal, Christopher W. Dempsey, ABL Law provides wide ranging Immigration Law expertise and services to our clients.  This includes providing services to individuals seeking assistance navigating U.S. immigration laws and regulations as well as to businesses – as a part of our existing General Counsel Program – seeking temporary or permanent employment visas.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Arbitration
Arbitration is similar to the judicial process, but instead of a judge and jury hearing a dispute in a public forum at the courthouse, in arbitration a neutral third party – the arbitrator - serves to resolve a dispute through an evidentiary hearing and award process without judicial involvement. Arbitration is private and confidential, and it often utilizes relaxed procedures and processes for admitting evidence and conducing proceedings.  

Mediation
Daniel K. Bean is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and a Middle District of Florida Certified Mediator. Dan has experience mediating a wide variety of commercial and business litigation and can provide steady and informed guidance to parties in mediation.
